We are looking for an ambitious and active Dispatcher to schedule freight deliveries and arrange pickups of shipments and parcels.
Job responsibilities
• Scheduling drivers to make freight deliveries, collect shipments and packages.
• Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times, and special handling requests.
• Planning pre-determined routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
• Maintaining records of dispatched calls, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
• Reviewing drivers’ logs, including dispatched calls and arrival times.
• Handling customer complaints.
• Keeping track of the payments to the drivers.
Required qualifications
• Spoken and written English (B2 and above).
• Good communication, negotiation and selling skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Desire and motivation to learn new things.
• Capability to work with schedule 4PM-1AM and be active outside working hours.
• Ethical conduct and responsibility.
• Detail oriented, multi-tasking ability.
